Hokkaido is the second largest, northernmost and least developed of Japan’s four main islands. Its weather is harsh in winter with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and frozen seas, while in summer it does not get as hot and humid as in the other parts of the country.
Walk along the snow corridor between 20 metre high, overwhelming “Otani Snow Walls”. Available only between 14 April and 10 June.
Go over mountains at the Alpine Route using 6 kinds of vehicles. The route is 90 metre long and is 2000 metres high.
Visit an old folk village Hida-Takayama and a World Heritage Site Shirakawago.
